Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering & Visual Arts (VPPCOEVA) formerly known as Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering (PVPPCOE) is one of the top private Engineering Colleges in Mumbai. VPPCOEVA was established in 1990 as a humble tribute to Late Shri Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil, by the great founder Late Shri Manohar (Mama) Phalke, Ex M.L.C. and Labour Leader, who took over the task of accomplishing Vasantdada’s dreams of scattering Engineering education and providing top class higher education facility to greater number of promising students in science and technology. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and Directorate of Art (DOA). VPPCOEVA is accredited for five years from 2019 – 2023 by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC), India in recognition of its excellent quality profile. Institute was accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for 3 years w.e.f. March 15, 2012.

The new frontiers of engineering have a significant impact on engineering education. It is important to examine and debate the future directions of engineering education. To my mind an educational institute is not just about bricks, mortar and concrete, but about building a character, enriching minds and about enriching experiences that last a lifetime. Life is not a set of instructions but a series of experiences and learning processes. Engineering is not an exception. This is where “Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering (VPPCOE)” steps in, to make a difference and where learning is not just a series of instructions but a passion which goes beyond books, beyond instructions, beyond learning horizons.
As a Principal, I search for opportunities every now and then to challenge and inspire our stakeholders, students and staff, to contribute to the rich heritage of institute. I encourage their participation in as many ways as possible. Everyone has special talents and gifts to share with others. As hard as our work often is, I have never seen anyone as happy and satisfied as when they are sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students. The institute is also engaged in supporting the students to refine the necessary skills, attitudes and the aptitude towards the corporate placement process in the campus by way of periodical competitive tests and group interaction exercises. As part of co curricular and extracurricular activities we conduct national and intercollegiate level seminars and workshops; encourage students to participate in technical paper presentation contests; organize lectures by experts from leading industries, conduct University sports meets etc.
Our ambition is to create an institute that meets/exceeds student’s educational, social and physical needs. Students, teachers, parents, and society are stakeholders in this effort. One of our aims is to provide the opportunity to all of our students to develop the knowledge and skills that will enable them to take their place in the world of work and higher education. Our combination of innovative use of creative curriculum structures over and above syllabus and materials means that our students are taking part in the creation of the future of learning.

Governing Council
Staff plays quite an important role in overall development of the college on all fronts, let it be academic or Administrative. Hence involvements of staff in decision making process and respecting their opinion for the betterment of the college is very important and well realized by PVPP College of Engineering.
PVPP College of Engineering being an institution of higher technical education realizes the importance of students opinion and their involvement in decision making process for dynamic development of the college.
The college has opened students chapters CSI, IEEE, ISTE to groom and streamline creativity and talent of the students.
Under Total Quality Management Drive the institution sponsors faculty for higher studies through institutional QIP Program
All decisions of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are taken through proper consultation with student and staff committees formed for the same
We realized the importance of your product i.e. students and tool to make the quality product i.e. staff.
The first and foremost decision taken by VPPCOE administration is that all laws and practices, norms and standards, services and defined practices of democratic Governance by all Authoritative Agencies like Government of Maharashtra, Government of India, AICTE, DTE, University of Mumbai are followed to the earnest without expectation and without fail. The College Authorities do not approve any rule as practice which is contrary to these defined rules or standard practices.
Hence all rules, regulations, appointments, facilities, policy statements are all according to standard rules or code as stated by all Normative State or Central Agencies for Higher Technical Education.
Democracy is the Heart of VPPCOE Governance in which, every rule is implemented with proper space of say to every employee of VPPCOE without suppression or discrimination.
We believe that there should be a check in mechanism for performance appraisal of every staff. Hence, written feedback system is followed.
We have defined a feedback form which comprehensively covers all these aspect
All written feedbacks are well read & maintained to come to conclusions about problem areas to be addressed.
